GoHalal first came about when one of the co-founders, Sohail Osman, travelled to Exeter for a 5-week course. He didn’t realize that trying to find a suitable place to eat halal food or even find a mosque would be so difficult. He tried searching online for halal eateries in Exeter but found nothing. That’s when he thought to himself that ‘there needs to be something online for people like me, who only eat halal meat, who want to pray in a mosque and who use the web for information’.
